‘Smile’ Mixed Media Canvas for D-lish Scraps

Hello crafty friends, Sarah here with you for another mixed media project for D-lish Scraps.  Using some gelli printed canvas boards created for another design team project, I have used these to create a set of three for a birthday present for my mum (lets hope she’s not reading this hey!).  The canvas board as pictured above is 5×7 and embellished with D-lish Scraps goodness!

The background has been created using texture paste, applied sparingly to create lots of lumps and texture points.  Once dry, I then applied gelatos over it and smudged them in with a wet baby wipe.  Gelatos are a great medium to use on all different surfaces and are a quick and easy way to add lots of colour.

The embellishments used are mostly from past Just Add Paper Kits. The striped bitty bag was from the Sunny Daze kit, the flowers, washi tape and journal piece are from the Peaches and Cream kit. Past kit bits and pieces can be purchased in store here –http://d-lishscraps.openstores.com.au/c/655/Past-Kits—Bits.html . My favorite piece of all is the cute resin deer…I even had to fight my 3 year old for it!  He loved it so, he wanted to keep it for himself!  The deer can be purchased in store http://d-lishscraps.openstores.com.au/c/615/Resin-Deer.html.  The ‘smile’ chipboard piece is from Kinder Creations and their whole range is available in store – http://d-lishscraps.openstores.com.au/c/727/Words-Titles.html.

Here is a close up pic of those gorgeous embellies;

Until next time, thanks for joining me.
