Use Your Stuff Sizzle into Summer blog hop!

Welcome to the Use Your Stuff  “Sizzle into Summer” blog hop!

Whilst here in Australia it is Winter time, in other parts of the Use Your Stuff (UYS) world, it’s time for sunshine, ice cream, shorts and smiles! It’s time for fun! The design team is celebrating summer and are highlighting a bunch of amazing projects with a summer theme and we want you to join us!

For my layout this week I had so much fun creating my own background using some of the new Dylusions paints. Loving the new colours in this layout – Campso Teal, Dirty Martini and Tangerine Dream.  Using a palette knife, I randomly spread paint all over the page, though aimed to have orange as the focus to match the orange seat in this Summer photo on my son.  Mr 2 had just been running happily under the sprinkler in the backyard and sat down to have a little rest!  I also added some splatters of paint to add extra texture.

I added embellishments around either side of my photo using the Crate Paper Poolside Collection and a few bits n pieces from my stash.  Here’s some close up shots;
