Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia March Challenge

This month’s challenge over at the Scrapbooking Top 50 Australia’s blog is a sweeet one! The challenge is to use the word ‘sweet’ on your layout.

This layout is of my sweet 💙 little boy. I enjoyed doing this mixed media background – use a palette knife and slapped on some gorgeous Dylusions paints. The colours of these paints are just so vibrant…I love them!

I added some texture paste using the Tim Holtz Stripes stencil and added further layers with the Bubbles stencil and black paint.

For embellishments, this spotted feather from the recent Kit the Habit kit complimented the background well. The photo was layered on spotted tissue paper…guess I went a bit crazy on the spots in this layout! A few other bits from my stash and from the Kaisercraft My Year, My Story Collection were used here.

I white embossed the wooden veneer title (from a D-list Scraps kit) and used a Charms Creation heart to complete the title.

Check out the challenge and give it a go yourself!
