Kraft Plus January Challenge

January’s challenge for Kraft Plus is to use Kraft card stock and include handwriting. I still feel uncomfortable having so much of my hand writing on a layout as this is not something I usually do, but I embraced the challenge!

Using the Nov/Dec Scrappy Canary Project Life ‘Jessica’ kit provided the perfect basis for this layout. The kit is fantastic and included the Kraft cards, 6×6 paper pad, ‘memory’ wooden veneer and Pink Paislee Memorandum stickers which all feature on the layout.

I created a background for the 6×4 cards using a layer of gesso, stencilled distress ink, stamping and paint splatters. I love how this links all of the cards together and provides a consistent look even though they each are quite different.

I embellished each card with washi and wooden veneers from my stash. I also used the new Stampin Up Project Life accessory pack – Memories in the Making, including the great letter stickers. This is such a great kit and versatile for any theme. The little sleeve that holds Fenix’s snippet of curls and the flair used is from the D’Lish Scraps Just Add Paper kits.
